About Gnosis Library

Welcome to the Gnosis Library, a digital sanctuary dedicated to preserving and sharing ancient Gnostic wisdom for modern seekers.

What is Gnosis?

Gnosis (γνῶσις) is the Greek word for "knowledge" or "insight." In the Gnostic tradition, it refers to spiritual knowledge—direct, experiential understanding of the divine nature within. Unlike intellectual knowledge, gnosis is transformative wisdom that awakens the soul to its true origin and destiny.

Our Mission

This library collects and presents:

  • Ancient Texts — Modernized translations of Gnostic scriptures from the Nag Hammadi Library and other sources
  • Audio Narrations — Spoken versions of texts for contemplative listening
  • Video Teachings — Lectures, discussions, and visual explorations of Gnostic wisdom

The Texts

The Gnostic texts presented here date from the 2nd to 4th centuries CE. They were discovered in 1945 near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, and have revolutionized our understanding of early Christianity and spiritual thought.

Key texts include:

  • The Gospel of Thomas
  • The Gospel of Philip
  • The Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles
  • The Apocryphon of John
  • The Gospel of Truth

How to Use This Library

Each article presents a text in clear, modern English while preserving the mystical depth of the original. Many include audio narrations for meditative listening.

We encourage you to:

  • Read slowly and contemplatively
  • Listen to audio versions for deeper immersion
  • Reflect on the teachings and their relevance to your own spiritual journey
  • Share these wisdom teachings with fellow seekers

"The Kingdom is inside you, and outside you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living Father."
